Chronicle was just short of fantastic. The one thing it lacked IMO was purpose. Every found footage film has a reason why you’re watching. Primarily it’s footage.. someone found (Blair Witch?), or maybe it’s a broadcast (District 9).
Chronicle lacked that. When half the movie footage gets functionally destroyed I dropped from the level of fantastic.

I'm thanking God Fox is rebooting Fantastic Four, those other movies were horrific.

You mean the forgettable blockbuster that grossed $752 million dollars this year? Yes, it’s utterly shocking that Sony would green light a sequel after that.

Still haven't seen Chronicle, but he was good in Lawless and had a nice bit role in Lincoln.
