Clerks, Chasing Amy are the only must see’s. Mallrats, J&SBSB are fun but they don’t age well. The rest is forgettable to god-awful. As for his other works, i did love the Clerks cartoon for a bit, his spoken word dvds have their moments, namely the first where he tells the story of writing Superman with the giant robot spider.

Clerks was a game changer and Chasing Amy has its moments…but, hardcore Smith fans are apologists and have created a nauseating and annoying screen presence…Smith would have been more fun as a filmaker of the late 70′s and 80′s whose filmography was revisited…not that they would have been much better, just more interesting as a product of their time…
