Seeing BTTF in theatres when I was in 8th grade was one of the few “movie moments” in my life. I knew NOTHING about this movie going in and came out completey amazed at what I just saw. My friends and I cruised the Mall that night quoting the film continuously. This was just one of those films that caught lightning in a bottle and worked from the title sequence on.

The WYLD STALLYNS! (guitar rift!)

I recently bought this on Blu and watched it with my kids. By the time we reached the clock tower sequence, my 13-yeaidols was  shouting at the screen, while my 7-year-old was literally jumping up and down with his t-shirt clutched between tiny white knuckles. I love sharing movies like this with my kids.
 
Couldnt bear to show them the crappy sequels, though. I’ll be interested to read your analysis!

Marty could have ended up having sex with his mother. Doc’s involvement with the Libyans could have had all kinds of repercussions (heeeloooo the guy is consorting with terrorist types who might be intent on detonating a dirty bomb on American soil, and he gets a free pass?!). And why the heck did George keep Biff hanging around working for him? This is the guy who tried to RAPE HIS WIFE for chrissakes. Any normal guy would have moved with to a different zip code. There’s a dark undercurrent to the movie which no other popular kids movie has that often goes unnoticed.
