No, that is impossible. He’s good but Ridley Scott is the master. And Prometheus is a modern classic. That is indisputable.

I find myself hoping that, after seeing Prometheus, he found himself thinking there was still room for his take on the whole idea of ancient, alien beings who created humanity and also that he felt he could do it better.

Didn’t he say something along the lines of Prometheus stole ATMOM’s thunder? Maybe now that Prometheus was an R rated hit, Legendary are more inclined to investigate Mountains.

Not that I actually expected anything of it, but after the Hellboy 3 talk a few months back, I was really, really, really, really, really hoping it might have been his next project after Pacific Rim. But, if this means we’ll eventually get ATMOM, then I’ll take what I can get.

I agree with biff…it would have been its own thing…with Freeman in the franchise, it would have been very interesting…especially since that ship and Pacific Rim are all coming together at the same time…This project sounds interesting, of course I am always skepitical when a director has to mention “influences” on any project-this could be interesting. Of course, he has already done haunted house movies before-both Backbone and Labrynth where essentially the kinds of films he is talking of. This film could maybe be a great, “do not go behind the door” type of film- a secret power or force that should not be opened. Now I want to make that…hopefully it will be better then the extremely disapointing Dont’ be Afraid

I just really wish he’d been able to make The Hobbit instead of Peter Jackson — it would’ve been more of a separate entity (and probably a much more interesting take on the story) than just another hit for The Franchise.
