My signature on the forums for the past several years has been from this nugget. I’ll second the atrociousness of the movie. But it’s the kind of bad film that get that it gets AMAZING to think someone dreamed this up as a good idea to film.

Guys, I’m telling you, Michael is underselling the ATROCIOUSNESS of this movie. I’ve been busting through old 80s movies recently via Netflix, and this one was at the top of the heap, due to that gorgeous key art. But the film is… is… I mean, there aren’t enough synonyms for “awful” to register the awfulness on display. I eventually found myself laughing at it, like someone in shock from a traumatic event.

But the worst part is the stop-motion animation Michael mentioned. It’s one shot, used over and over, of the R.O.T.O.R. “endoskeleton” just moving around, like an Erector Set infant on its back in a crib. This poorly done FX shot is almost always accompanied by a voice over from Coldyron delivered in the deadest of pans.

Wow. I was having a bad day at work, but after this review dredging up the memories of watching this movie, I’m now practically suicidal.

Wait…wait…according to that first screen grab, the Johnny 5 knock-off is wearing a police cap? That alone is pretty amazing.

Shame to hear it sucks. I remember that very VHS cover, which truly does rock. I guess this’ll join the ranks of Future-Kill and Creepozoids.
