It’s as likely as not you’ve seen the picture above on the internet in one form another, circulating as just a cute viral picture or a motivational poster version. Well, turns out that illustration has been licenesed by New Line on behalf of Dwayne Johnson and it’s going to be a movie!

That’s right, the DeviantArt-hosted illustration by Alex Panagopoulos is in and of itself going to be the basis of a film that will, I presume, reveal the hidden magical world of Teddy Bear nighttime crusading. There’s no director, writer, or announced story yet, so your guess is as good as mine as to what the actual approach will be. I have to assume it will be something like the recentĀ Rise Of The Guardians, through which we learn about the elaborate underground system by which Teddy Bears and bed monsters operate.

Perhaps Monsters Inc. is a less financially dubious point of comparison.

Either way, Ted was always a brilliant idea because people love teddy bears. This movie surely won’t go the profane angle and will instead go with the cutely noble approach. It will probably work like gangbusters. Johnson is currently set as a producer but may star, depending on how the script turns out.

So keep cracking artists! It’s a one-in-a-million chance, but there’s never been a better time to cash in on going viral!
