Bay is getting in on some of that period fantasy coin, and with that we have Starz Original series Black Sails– an eight episode mini-series produced by Michael Bay that serves as a prequel of sorts to Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island (it takes place two decades before that story). The show is about the struggles of Captain Flint and John Silver on behalf of Pirate Sex & Violence Island (more formally known as New Providence Island), their pirate hideaway and general criminal epicenter.
Apparently the show is a 2014 joint, so keep a lid on your excitement- there’s a long wait ahead.
