ps4-2

  • NBA 2K14
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts
  • Skylanders Swap Force
  • Need for Speed Rivals
  • Battlefield 4
  • Madden NFL 25
  • FIFA 14
  • NBA Live 14
  • Killzone: Shadow Fall
  • DriveClub
  • Knack
  • Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag
  • Watch Dogs
  • Just Dance 2014
  • Lego Marvel Super Heroes

So, those are the 15 retail titles that will be available between November 15th and the end of the year for PS4. It’s kind of a weak slate.  DriveClub will be a freebie for PS+, Knack looks decent, though too serious for its own good. The rest are multiplatform.

It’d be kind of a drag….except for the 18 downloadable titles they also threw out there:

  • Basement Crawl
  • Pool Nation Extreme
  • Contrast
  • Warframe
  • Pinball Arcade
  • War Thunder
  • N++
  • Minecraft
  • DC Universe Online
  • PlanetSide 2
  • Counterspy
  • Resogun
  • Flower
  • Doki Doki Universe
  • Hohokum
  • Tiny Brains
  • Super Motherload
  • Blacklight

That’s a bit more like it. There’s nothing I’d call a killer app in that list especially for $400, but a lot of fried gold, including, apparently, some sort of next gen Flower port, which they can just take my money right now for. The big guns have yet to be pulled for either system yet, but from that list, and the dedication to indie development we saw today at Gamescom, the PS4 has a far better chance of keeping people busy up until the next gen begins in earnest.

Especially with a new N+ in that list. Seriously, me and that fucking game have unfinished business.
