Gaby Hoffman is BACK!

Where’d she go? I’m not sure. She spent the late eighties and early nineties in films like Field of Dreams, Uncle Buck and Sleepless in Seattle. And while she continued to make movies into her adolescence/young adulthood, the last couple of years have seen a resurgence in Hoffmania. You’ve got your Crystal Fairy & The Magical Cactus. You’ve got your recurring role on Girls. You’ve got your indie horror film, Lyle.

That last entry is something I’m particularly interested in, especially since it’ll be released for free on August 4th at LyleMovie.com. And the movie appears to be a LGBT riff on Rosemary’s Baby, which means I’ll be hitting refresh on the site all day until the movie loads.

Fangoria tells us that this is the first in a cycle of “female-focused” horror films from director Stewart Thorndike and that the free release will coincide with the Kickstarter campaign for his next film, Putney. So if you like Lyle, kick some money in for the next project.
