In memoriam of revered actor/director/gentleman Richard Attenborough, Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow tweeted a very interesting photo from the upcoming film. Click it to see a wallpaper-sized version!

Immortalized in bronze, the InGen mogul stands with proud countenance and posture, maybe watching over Isla Nublar’s great attraction.

Looking at this, I immediately find myself thinking of Andrew Ryan, whose presence hangs over Bioshock‘s city of Rapture in an oddly similar fashion. I’m reminded specifically of the Ryan Amusements area in Bioshock 2, in which you are funneled though a museum of propaganda that glorifies the ultimate capitalist. I suppose this is partly due to the art style, but also because we’re getting a sense of how John Hammond has become an icon in Jurassic World. It’s simultaneously comforting and creepy, in a very sci-fi way. I hope it’s not just something we see in the background of a few shots.

Jurassic World continues to look more and more interesting, and we’ll see how it all turns out on June 12, 2015.
