Grab your bow ties and anthropomorphic chairs, because Pee-Wee Herman is coming back with a brand new feature film. Produced by the most un-Pee-Wee person ever, Judd Apatow, the new movie starts shooting next month and will be distributed by Netflix. Broad City director John Lee will be making his feature debut with this outing. Following in the tradition of the previous films’ titles, this go-around will be called Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday.

Confession: I’ve never watched an entire episode of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. I’ve seen Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure once (I’ve seen the Large Marge sequence about a dozen times though), and I’ve never felt any drive to check out the sequel. I like the character and Paul Reubens, but I feel like I kind of missed the boat with Pee-Wee Herman. My friend did show me one of his original live shows, and that was a hoot. RIP Phil Hartman.

Is there a secret cabal of Pee-Wee loving Chewers out there? Can anyone convince me to watch the apparently inferior sequel? Will the comments section go for longer than two hours without a masturbation joke?
