Per a Deadline exclusive, Kingsman‘s Sofia Boutella (whose Gazelle is among the best spy flick henchpersons in cinema history) has scored a lead role in Star Trek 3. There’s been no rumor as to the nature of her character, but it’d be nice to see her branch out after her great performance as Gazelle.
No other details are available at this time, but this brings me even further over to the positive side on Trek 3. Simon Pegg and Doug Jung are on script duties, Justin Lin will direct, and we’ll see this all come together on July 8, 2016.
