MakingStarWars.net managed to snag this new TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which features a very weird voiceover from who I’m assuming is Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata.
The trend of great footage continues — I like everything I see here, even though it’s not much. The inclusion of Yoda’s theme is a nice touch, despite it sounding like it was played on hotel bar pianist’s synthesizer.
What I find both satisfying and alarming is that the more new footage we see, the more apparent it becomes that the story leaks that happened earlier this year weren’t just pulled out of the asses of anonymous nerds. Many of them were true. I won’t tell you where to look, but there are full synopses of the film out there on the web. Who lives? Who dies? Who’s related to whom? It’s out there already. The spoiler-phobic among you may want to be very careful about what you watch and read. You may need to steer clear of those who wish to analyze every frame of new footage. The mystery box is full of holes.
