While there’s no doubt that the Hammerhead can find its way around the battlefield, it’s worth noting that the areas on display look like linear, mission-driven paths rather than wide open spaces to explore. Mass Effect 2’s combat was a huge step up, but a lot of us did miss the freeform planetary exploration, even if the Mako drove (and sounded) like an RC toy.
That’s not to say that the Hammerhead doesn’t look like a lot of fun to drive. Pick up the free Firewalker pack later this month, assuming you have access to the Cerberus Network.
