I missed Trailers From Hell’s big milestone: they put up their 400th trailer and redesigned the entire site, adding a new comments section for each trailer. The site, the brainchild of Joe Dante, has been steadily putting up classic movie trailers in both unadulterated a commented upon forms; the commentaries come from some of the greatest luminaries in Hollywood, such as Joe himself, Edgar Wright, John Landis, Stuart Gordon, Josh Olson, and more.
What’s even better is word – straight from Joe Dante himself – that Trailers From Hell will soon be releasing their first DVD compilation. I’m a big fan of trailer compilation DVDs, and the idea of the added value – all the great commentaries – makes the impending Trailers From Hell DVD a must-own.
Click over there now; Trailers From Hell has been getting highbrow lately, and this week they’re doing three Kubrick trailers – Paths of Glory is the latest. To give you an idea of what to expect, check out Bill Duke below, talking about the trailer for The Spook Who Sat By The Door.

Bill Duke needs to be in more movies. I can't believe as deadpan as he is in roles, that his voice in the video goes beyond deathcalm monotone.
Bill Duke never gets older ever.
And Corey Haim is dead. Too bad he never got to see this. It would have made life worth living sober.
Love the TrailerfromHell site. A DVD is good new indeed! I could listen to Joe Dante talk film all day.
