In contrast with the less focused (and far less traditional) free roam mode, which lets players team up to explore the wilderness, hunt, battle rival gangs, or terrorize small towns, the competitive modes wrangle players into multiplayer maps specifically designed for each game.

Rumors about management problems at Rockstar San Diego notwithstanding, everything we’ve seen so far makes Red Dead Redemption look really, really good. Grab the bag and avoid an orbital cannon strike on May 18th.
