Yeah… normally, I'm not the type to nitpick the articles here in the comments, but, well… David Gordon Green is "getting away with this" because Pineapple Express was big success, and he's brought back two of the three (and arguably the two strongest) leads from that film. Also, the folks involved with this film ARE part of the "Apatow Gang". Apatow produced Pineapple Express (as well as co-directing a lot of scenes). And this isn't really niche like Scott Pilgrim was. It looks pretty broad, and I'm sure it's going to play very well.

I'd say Natalie Portman and James Franco (especially post-127 Hours) are box office draws, Zooey Deschenal has had starring roles before and Danny McBride has a pretty huge following with Eastbound. I think saying it doesn't have any huge STAR POWER or something is a better way to say it, because this cast definitely has draw.

I'm rooting for this film to succeed and I don't know why. Frankly, I think it looks kind of dumb. But somehow I still want it to succeed. Go figure.
