365 days of Sci-Fi

From the mind behind the mega-hit Syfy show you’ve probably never heard of (EUREKA) comes a tribute to all those no-budget Syfy original movies and the “so bad, they’re good” films that inspired them. Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst titles Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

And now… DAY FIVE:

“Okay, I’m back from vacation, massively jet lagged and late onsomething like a dozen deadlines, so I’ll keep today’s editorializingmercifully brief and instead just pose this one burning question…What if John Waters directed LA FEMME NIKITA based on a script by EdWood?”

– Andy Cosby

After mistakenly receiving a transfusion of tainted vampire blood,post-op transgender and cross-dressing lounge singer Velvet Underground not only discovers her nasty man bits have regenerated, but that s/he’s also developed a painful aversion to sunlight and a taste for raw meat.  Fortunately, as s/he begins the inevitable transformation into a creature of the night, a kindly vampire hunter takes pity on Velvet, preventing her from feeding on human blood, thus allowing her to maintain her humanity and join him in the struggle against the forces of darkness.  With his help, s/he learns to use her incredible new powers and ultimately wins the battle against her insatiable hunger.  But can s/he win the war raging inside, between the man s/he’s destined to become and the woman desperately struggling to be free?  And what will happen when the vampire hunter finally realizes his female sidekick is really a she-male hide-dick?

Nick Says: I’m a little worried about my story being the basis for a major motion picture .
