Proving that the 3D craze isn’t over just yet, Lionsgate has announced its plans to release the succinctly titledNurse 3D.The film is about a sexy, dedicated nurse who spends her nights performing “a secret life’s work in which she targets and punishes dishonest men.” Well, they don’t have to take the hippocratic oath, right?
So how does Lionsgate prove that the film will be as bloody and sexy as they say it is? NSFW concept art for it with the film’s star buck naked, that’s how.

As you can see the star of the film is Paz De La Huerta, who has also shied out of her clothes in Boardwalk Empire and Enter the Void. The director of the film Douglas Aarniokoski only has a couple of directing credits under his belt (Highlander: Endgame?) but he was the first AD for films like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Four Rooms and Austin Powers.
This art originally appeared in V Magazine and if it looks familiar, it’s because it’s from Lionsgate’s Marketing Officer Tim Palen. He became internet famous for his insane blood drive posters for the Saw series over the last few years.
“In his original nurse photos and the fan conversation that ensued, Tim had clearly scratched the surface of a very great concept,” says the studio’s President of Production, Mike Paseornek. “The idea of a film noir depiction of a beautiful nurse who uses her sexuality to very severe ends.” He adds, “That concept was the perfect germ for this thrilling story, which will be extremely visceral in 3D.”
Nurse 3D will start shooting September for a 2012 release, certainly close to Halloween since Lionsgate no longer has their sure thing.
