From the mind behind the mega-hit Syfy show you’ve probably never heard of (EUREKA) comes a tribute to all those no-budget Syfy original movies and the “so bad, they’re good” films that inspired them. Move over Roger Corman, step back Ed Wood, make way on your weekend programming schedule Mr. Stern, because here comes Andrew Cosby’s 365 DAYS OF SCI-FI.

And it’s all happening here! Each day, your friends at CHUD will bring you a brand new bad movie pitch — the best of the worst title Cosby can come up with, no matter where he’s at or what he’s doing, rain or shine, drunk or sober. That’s a whole year of the quality concepts you’ve come to expect from the network that brought you MANSQUITO and SHARKTOPUS.

And now… DAY THREE-HUNDRED AND SIXTY-FIVE:

“Happy New Year!!  Hope 2011 was as good to you as it was to me.  Can’t believe I actually made it to #365.  Some of you will be sad it’s over, while others will be elated… and still others probably wish I’d never started this nonsense in the first place.  Regardless, it’s been a blast and I’m really glad I ignored my therapist’s advice and kept on going.  Big thanks to Nick Nunziata for all the great commentary along the way, to Jeremy Butler for the wonderful poster art, and to all you loyal readers for going along with the worst New Year’s resolution EVER!  Now, without further ado, I give you perhaps the best/worst parody title ever – a bastardized Broadway musical, no less.  And believe it or not, I’m actually going to swing for the fences and try and make this one happen.  Wish me luck.  And thanks for playing.”

BRIDE OF THE YANKEES: To keep his job and help his baseball team win the league pennant, a desperate general manager enlists the aid of a Frankenstein-like mad scientist, who uses stolen body parts from various deceased baseball legends to cobble together the greatest player the game has ever known.  Comedy, tragedy and romance ensue as their creation falls in love with a beautiful young female sports reporter, while the rest of the team struggles to keep the true identity of their secret weapon a secret.

Nick Says: Cosby rocked this out of the park like a man possessed. More often than not, these were late due in no part to Andy. Thanks so much for putting up with us folks, and thanks to Andy for keeping it going. A very huge thanks to Jeremy for keeping these postered.

Ahhhhhhh.
