Looks like I’m in the minority on this. Haven’t seen any of his other projects but after finishing up the season of Angry Boys it showed a lot more heart than I was expecting. While one of his characters I could do without, I thought he did a great job of giving each one a life of their own and making you feel for them, for better or worse.

This is also coming from a guy who considers Trailer Park Boys to be one of the funniest and well-written shows of all time. Really excited to see where he takes it.

For every decent show the Aussie TV industry produces (like the original Aussie Wilfred) there are thousands upon thousands of bland turds like any project by Chris Lilley. He's like our version of Little Britain. Create a character and a catch phrase and just milk it for a season.

You're absolutely right. I've always found Chris Lilley's projects interesting, but not particularly funny.

I think you either ‘get’ Chris Lilly or you don’t. Personally I don’t, but my brother thinks it’s the funniest thing on earth.

He says Angry Boys is the best yet. Personally I have barely raised a smile. Maybe you need to be more “yoof-full” to get it.
