It’s a weird feeling to have aged out of the demographic they’re aiming for.

It’s too dark but still looks more appealing than Raimi’s stuff.

Pretty brave choice on the part of the filmmakers, tackling a superhero’s daddy issues. Never seen that trick before.

I like the direction they’re taking. Spiderman’s been around for how long? Maybe it’s time to get a new spin on it.

Looks GREAT! Already liking Garfield better than Maguire, and I thought Maguire did a fine job.

Does anyone else feel a backlash against the whole “Untold Story” angle being used for just about every remake now? It feels like marketing at its laziest.

i think its better casted than any of Raimi’s movies. still a few too many corny one liners. agreed its too dark but does that have anything to do with the 3D looking better? all in all I’m waaaaay more excited about this then I would have been about a Spiderman 4. i think its really going to come down to the Lizard effects for this to stand out on its own. also, if they dont kill off gwen stacy or introduce the green goblin at end, however, then screw this reboot.

Corny one-liners are what was missing from Raimi’s movies. They are a huge part of the Spider-man character and they were basically absent. I guess Raimi thought cartoonish slapstick would do as a substitute.

Cheesy one liners is one of his super powers like spidey sense.

Nice to see he makes the web shooters on his own in this version.  The organic ones were never a good idea they took away from how smart peter really is.

I don;t mind the suit it looks fine if a bit too blue.

George Stacy’s lines sound straight out of The Dark Knight.
Other than that, I’ll remain optimistic about this one. Much better than the other trailers they’ve released so far.

Garfield looks better than expected. The Spidey suit looks worse.
    Lizard needs a lab coat.
Richard Parker was a CIA agent who was killed by the Red Skull. Peter didn’t get his powers at Oscorp, nor did the Lizard.
    Stan Lee FTW.

Garfield looks better than expected? I have always thought that Garfield was perfect casting for Parker. He is the one thing about this movie that have been consistently optimistic about. The cast for this film looks amazing. Now if it just wasn’t trying so hard to be ‘dark’…
