It ensures the sale for upcoming items, makes them more sought after, and whose to say they don’t keep an edition or two back for after-market sale down the road. Has anyone seen an AP print from Mondo? If these ever make it on the market they would draw huge money.

It’s maddening to go on eBay and see the price gouging that scalpers try to get away with for some of these prints. What makes it all the worse is that the folks at Mondo refuse to update the sales system of their own site, which hasn’t kept up with their massive rise in popularity. Plenty of trashy clothing sites and other boutique art dealing sites, have a ten minute window in your cart that allows you to check out without your item being gone before you’ve purchased it. How can people who make less money than these guys figure this out?
