The footage aired during last night’s MTV Movie Awards is mightily impressive, and is interesting how it seems to open up the scale of the film, yet does so just by showing more rooms! I think they’re doing a fantastic job building Bane up as a villain to be feared, and this footage definitely contributes to that effort.
I’ll admit to hoping they slow down on letting footage out there between now and release- they’ve got to pace themselves, or we’ll know too soon exactly what Nolan meant when he told Empire that this is “the biggest one anyone’s done since the silent era, in truth,” and what has the magazine gushing about a never-before-seen scale of filmmaking.
