Caught Annihilation. Whatever Ridley Scott was trying to do with the Alien franchise the past decade, Alex Garland found the magic touch. It’s strange, hypnotic, beautiful, and filled with Carpenter-level dread. The Cronenberg/Kubrick comparisons are totally valid too. The entire cast is great, but Jennifer Jason Leigh is probably the MVP. Go see it (or stream it, if you’re outside the states).
I couldn’t help but switch that Kiss of Death header. The movie is a five-alarm shitshow—Richard Price’s screenplay was rewritten like it was a Sidney Lumet thriller with kitsch that makes Price’s treatment for the “Bad” video look realistic—but I’ll be damned if the movie doesn’t have its moments of silly quotes, Cage and Caruso dueling their overacting skills (somehow Sam Jackson is subdued), and the abundance of character actors that pop up. But it’s a dumb and...

I assume the director's cut isn't some cash grab, double dip situation and it's a more accurate framing of what he wanted in the first place.
I remember it getting dismissive notices that summer, and it just faded into the ether. I didn't think it was Woo spinning his usual traits into World War II.   It's the only Hollywood Woo I've yet to see.
I saw Exit Wounds and Cradle 2 the Grave in theaters. The former was my first Seagal movie ever.   Somehow, my brain is still functional.
I’ve admittedly never seen it, I’m just blindsided by the sudden lovefest.
Why is Molt upvoting Windtalkers so much? And I’m the guy that wouldn’t stop giving Loaded Weapon 1 love in the Sam Jackson KO!

Either things will get terrible, or Russia will hack us at a point where Republicans will be unable to hide the truth and ride into a blue wave like Bodhi at the end of Point Break. Manafort selling positions is the same shit that dragged Rod Blagojevich into general pop. Paul Ryan is going to retire into a slot on Dancing with the Stars and the only dance he’ll do is the Bobby Three Step. I hope Chuck Heston’s corpse gets colder and deader from this point forward.
