Gotta admit, I wasn't expecting QUITE the vehemence for 'Armageddon' (especially from people who freely admit they haven't seen it)...thought it was similar to a  scifi version of 'Con-Air' (a film I royally HATE)...sadly...

"The Phantom Menace" was the 'newborn baby' of Lucas's Star Wars films and as with ANY newborn, at it's point of birth, had the most possibilities open to it. THAT's why I believe fans initially gave it a pass...I, as a fan, wanted...
