This movie is brilliant, an animation watermark, but the source material is far better. I don't want to be a 'book was better' douche, but people who loved the film really need to get hold of the comics. When you're familiar with the manga the movie feels like a highlight reel and a lot of issues with the plot make sense in context. It lends itself much better to a show format than film and I always hoped they'd get round to turning it into a show.
