Mass Effect is great. Mass Effect 2 is better. Bioware polishes their RPG/action formula to damn near perfection in the second chapter of this space saga. Decisions you made in the first game carry over into the sequel, making the universe feel like a place where your actions have serious consequences. One of the best game experiences of this generation.

Another special edition version purchased. Though I was sad to see planetary exploration gone, the streamlined and action-oriented experience works on every level. I've played through three times, and will play through a fourth once that last piece of DLC drops.
