A documentary which just doesn't work, it has all the right elements to get across an interesting point about the medical research community and how they are more interested in the $$ than the lives of their patients. This would have been a much better film if the bias in it was toned down. The film beats you over the head with all the information supporting Lyme disease and villainizes the opposition before presenting their side of the argument. Which makes the fact that most of the Doctors promoting the intensive antibiotic treatment for Lyme Disease appear to be less level headed than the opposition all that more amusing. Another thing worth noting is that the film is blatantly targeted at a one social group, white Christians. There is not one case presented in the film that shows how Lyme disease affects all races and cultures. The closest it gets is a photo of an African-American family on the wall of a clinic and a nurse. As it is, the movie is nothing more than a documentary using scare tactics rather than level headed arguments to get it's point across, which is a pity because it's subject is such an intriguing one.
Try Bigger, Stronger, Faster & The Art of the Steal. Both manage to be much better Documentaries with strong biases.
