Well that nearly horrified me into a coma....It'll take years of therapy to get the image of the village people trying to be new wave out of my head.

The Wolf cover is terrible, but the CD itself is actually quite good.

The Scorps covers definitely shouldn't be there.
No, they should have their own section.

Jesus, when it comes to "They Are Not In On the Joke" kinds of bands, you simply can not go past Manowar.
The Eulenspygel 2 cover is flat out awesome.

Agreed.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with the cover to Dethkorps' Metal Tit. Radiohead could use that same artwork and it would be hailed as genius.

The Heavy Load and Battle Axe covers are hilariously awful.

I love this cover's amateurishness (which can be said for a lot of the covers here):

And of course, The Who's little-heard Who's Next, Douchebag?

The rise of digital music formats means we'll never get to see something like this ever again. And if you don't shed a tear over that fact, fuck you.

There's a Catholic joke in there somewhere. Just too obvious...

Yeah, the Scorpions and Sabbath covers definitely don't belong.

My favourite:

It basically says: "Fuck you guys, we're gonna put wigs on dogs!"

I love the fact that like Cher and Madonna this guy only needs a first name.

"And the dove flew down beside him
And a fork appeared right in his hand
And with everybody watching
The preacher ate that bird right there and then"

The Nelson one is great.

Here's my favorites:

Don't fuck with the Hoff.

Joe Henry's Trampoline is actually quite good, too. I think the cover is supposed to be kind of funny.

What the hell is this supposed to be?

I hate it but not when combined with...

I've been thinking for the past couple of years that I actually miss album covers, and I mean way back in the LP days. CD's just never gave us lavish productions like Rush's 2112, or The Empire Strikes Back soundtrack album. Add in the fact that losers who managed to press one album had to come up with something to put on the cover, and it's hard not to feel like we've lost something. That little image attached to the downloaded file just doesn't cut it.

I'm actually reluctant to click that link. There's no way that this guy can live up to the confrontational/glittery/Elvis/Santa heights of insanity I've built up in my head.
