Cheap XBOX 360 games...

Well, this is half shameless plug/half helping you guys out.... but eh, who am I kidding, I'm just looking out for myself.

Anyway, I never was a fan of all those online referral programs that get you PS3s and ipods, even though friends of mine have done them. I never liked relying on other people to get my shit. Which is why I was surprised how happy I was with this site- YourFree360Games.com. You do the offers for yourself. 2 offers completed equals one free game. Simple as that. You can do a referral system as well, but in that case you have to rely on other people to sign up and do one offer.

I've picked up Guitar Hero 2 and Dance Dance Revolution through them. I ordered the first two games on the 9th and they came one week later on the 16th, ordered from Amazon. Very nice to see two huge-ass boxes on my doorstep. I have The Darkness on the way and Mass Effect pre-ordered.

This is a goddamn great way to get an extra guitar controller for anyone that needs it. (Yes, those were the bundles) Most of the offers do charge you a bit (I think the stamps.com one is the only free one left) but it's never more than 5 or 6 bucks, and if you cancel some of them soon enough they won't charge you at all. 10 bucks for a game that costs 60-90 is definitely worth it.

Just be sure that your stuff has gone "green" on your site so you get credit for, and make sure to cancel that shit! That's probably how they make their money. If you don't call them up and cancel the product in time for them to start charging you, you'll get raped. I haven't had any problems at all canceling the items, surprisingly, because I called all armed and ready to be offered all sorts of things, but every single place I called just asked for my name and phone number and canceled it right there, confirmation number and everything.

The problem? I've finished all the offers I want to get and my poor, greedy ass wants more games. So that's where you guys come in.

This is my link if you'd like to sign up for it.

The offers I had the easiest time getting credit for were-

Sleep Rite
GE Critics Choice
Increase My Margin
Grant Search Provider
Blockbuster

I've got a copy of Overlord that depends on you guys! Hope this helps someone out, as well as myself.

Thanks, guys. Got my confirmation about Overlord this week. For some reason they only seem to ship out things on Mondays, so I should have it next Wednesday or something.

How're the rest of you doing with it? I actually got charged for one of those damn offers- Sleep Rite, actually, because I didn't cancel in time for them to stop sending the first shipment of pills in the mail. Just called them up and got a RMA, wrote Return to Sender on the box and mailed it back and got credited for the full amount, though. Not too bad, but more work than the others.

How long did it take for Blockbuster to get approved for you?

So, out of curiosity, how soon is an "immediate" cancellation? Once it goes green, can I cancel and still get stuff? Or do I have to wait a couple of days?

Don't cancel it the same day... wait a day or two. Trust me on that. I'm actually fighting with the company right now for my account because I canceled Blockbuster the first day and they thought I was "abusing their sponsors". Which, shit, we all are- none of us want any of this crap. I did try it out though, I printed out the instore rental coupons and checked out the store, realized that there was shit there and canceled it right away.

But yeah Owen, it went green right away.

Huh, Blcokbuster never went green for me (I signed up Sunday, I think), but it was probably because I was signing up my friend. But I got Increase My Margin and Ultima Weight Loss Patch to work. Signed up for IMM yesterday and cancelled today, and singed up for Ultima today and will cancel tomorrow.

Got Bioshock today. Sweet. This shit is great.
Ok, so I'm trying it. I tried Stamps.com and the Increase My Margin one. I plan to cancel tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.
Stamps.com is pretty spotty for a lot of people as the credit doesn't always go through, and it might be a couple weeks before you can get the site staff to give you credit.

Stamps.com came through right on time for me. I got confirmation and an email saying my game is shipping September 5. This deal seems pretty awesome so far. I'm still waiting for something to go wrong though. I'm a pretty firm believer in TANSTAAFL (There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch).

Well I got banned from the site, so that's the rub for me. 5 free (well, mostly) games for me out of it, so that's it. Someone should put their link out for other people, cause mine ain't helping anyone out.

I got Ultima Patch and Increase My Margin to work.
Mass Effect will ship when it is released.

Thanks!

Can I ask why, or is that salt in the wound?

(Just saw this)

I talked about it before, I canceled the Blockbuster service the same day, and they thought I was abusing their sponsors. Really shitty, cause I had a few things that hadn't gone green yet that I was waiting on. They're allowing me to open an account on any of their other sites, just not that one. So the rest of you, just don't follow my lead in that regard!

I just checked their ps3forfree site and it's ridiculous- you have to do something like 30 offers before getting your system free. Pisses me off, cause the 360 one is by far the best deal.

Be sure to be persistant when canceling the Ultima Patch. Their phone line is pretty crazy; sometimes you'll get directed to a voicemail box that's full, sometimes it will ring forever. But when you do get to a menu and select your option, do not hang up even if you're on hold for 30 minutes, because that's just how long it takes on there.

Thank Christ they added Skate to the list. It appears my paycheck is going to be taking a hit this month, so I really needed this if I was going to be able to pick up the Orange Box in October.
Yeah, I've heard Stranglehold is worth money, just not $60. I'm content knowing that I spent $5, maybe $10 if I can't cancel the teeth-whitening system before they ship the free trial.
Ordered skate today. Now I don't have to feel guilty when I play it.
Do they have any partner sites that offer games for other systems?

No. Just sites for systems, ipods, etc. All the usual referral stuff.

Maybe I should work on getting a free Xbox360 and then free games here I come. I already have a controller on the way from Club Live that I was going to use for my PC.
You can, however, return the items that you get from this (because they are gift items), and then you would get Amazon credit.
Was just informed that SKATE is now on the way.
So I never received my copy of SKATE, and so I asked TRAINN about it. They gave me a UPS tracking number, and UPS says that they left it on my porch on Tuesday.

So I guess somebody stole it. Awesome.
Damn, that sucks. Are they going to replace it, or are you screwed?

On the bright side, at least you only wasted $5 - $10 instead of $60, right?
I'm not too pissed off about it, especially considering a couple new offer they have only cost $1. But yeah, TRAINN's policy is basically "once it ships, it's your problem," so I'm going to have to harass UPS about it.

And yeah, I'm not a big fan of them leaving shit in front of the door to my apartment which several people walk by every day.
Well, that game randomly appeared in my mailbox this morning.
Wow, so basically your copy was going to "fall off the back of a truck"? That's messed up man. But hey, you got your game.
They just added a whole shitload of new games, and just in time. Now I'll be able to grab Blacksite: Area 51.
Yes, as of yesterday, the Orange Box is headed my way for $2. This website rocks.
