He really does! Devin, I think you missed a golden opportunity to get punched in the face by Richard Dreyfuss.

Nice job, you looked pretty comfortable ripping apart J.J. Abrams on camera to me.

Throughout the vid, I noticed Batman looking over Dev's shoulder.

Watch your back, Devin, the Dark Knight wants revenge for your insolence!
Nice job, man.

Nice dig on Nimoy!
Dig on Quinto, you mean!
I don't think they realized that you weren't going to plant a big fat smooch on Abrams' ass with your opening remark, and with live TV, there is no going back. You should've ended the interview with, "Oh, and also--fuck you, Richard Dreyfus!" to continue the "feud".
Yeah, it was pretty refreshing that you didn't continue the Abrams blow job that they wanted to do. I love this especially:

"LOST isn't Abrams, it's Damon Lindehof."

"...but Lindehof is producing STAR TREK!" Like he scored some point or something.

The way the EW guy phrased that retort, "well, your argument doesn't have any legs because Lindelof is producing Trek", was so annoying.
Good job on not selling out. God willing, they'll ask you back for a Heroes panel.

I ran into that guy at the Lionsgate party later that night and I said, 'I totally killed you!'
I wonder if he really thought that Masters of the Universe shirt was going to give him an advantage.
Good stuff. Especially loved him bringing up a trailer for a movie Abrams didn't direct as proof of his scope.

Please tell us he agreed, because there's no way in hell anyone would believe that guy had better points. Not even that guy.
Yeah, and plus Devin had the Wilde conversation cap.

"I'd like to see more green girls in bikinis making out with Captain Kirk"

"I... uh... more adventure... and fun... am i right guys hehe... "

gravedigger - I think they all got the Quinto dig, that's why the host was so anxious to change the subject

New. I'll be debating smoking in movies.

Brad Pitt in True Romance.

Backdraft?

Anyhoo. Good luck, Devin.

Put in a good word for me to their internship department. I really need it. Bad.

I'll buy you some Pinkberry.

Woman: "...don't know the full details of the research..."

Devin: (rolling eyes)

Awesome.

I didn't do as well as I would have liked because I was very aware that she was nervous, and I didn't want to come across like a big bully.

Fuck that. Dogpile them when you can, where's that killer instinct you show on the boards?
Yeah.
You still steamrolled the poor woman. But at least part of that was due to the ridiculous ideas her group is promoting. I wonder if she cried after it was over.

Or had a cigarette.

Then with her R rating already blown, went on a shooting/fucking spree

I'd really have to call bullshit on this alleged research they have linking smoking directly to film/television. It smacks of the type of poll manipulation that Penn & Teller did a segment on in their "BullSh!t" show on Showtime, where they showed that you can essentially get any answer you want via different framings of a question.

In my day, kids smoked because the older "cool" kids around them did. I doubt that's changed in the past 25 years.
Just caught this now, I totally could see you holding back b/c she was definitely flustered and nervous. Her throwing in the "F-word" argument at the end and your reply was classic. She was reaching on that one.

Great job.
I'll watch this tonight when I get home (not allowed to have the sound up on our computers here at work) - looking forward to it.
Still undefeated! Good shit.
I was hoping for a cruder, meaner Devin. A messageboard Devin, if you will.

"You could always suck my cock and film it. That way, kids everywhere will want to get their cocks blown and/or blow cocks, because MOVIES DICTATE BEHAVIOR." You could even make a pun out of dictate.

Seriously though, good show. I especially liked how the host said she'd get the last word, and then you totally cockblocked her at the end.
Good stuff as always Devin. I will say if there was a person that deserved the "devin treatment" it was her and/or that institute she works for.
"Kids should only eat broccoli in movies!"

Awesome
Is it because she was cute? I know Devin hates ugly people. But maybe he just hates pretty people with bad opinions just a tad less.
Great stuff, Devin. I knew there was no way this lady was going to get the last word with all of the propaganda she was spouting. (I obviously don't want my kids to smoke, but the responsibility for their behavior falls to ME, certainly not to the MPAA.) Your eye roll was nice too.

Also, you and the host have a great rapport.

Same here. I just knew he wasn't going to let it slide.
I think she's right, this movie smoking insanity has to stop. If you disagree then you hate kids and want them all to get cancer.
Devin kicked ass, but I have to ask about this one:

Driving the bus?

Devin does have that gruff but lovable Ralph Kramden 'tude goin' on. He should have asked that gal what threatening to send her to the moon should be rated.
He is from New York. I think Hamburgers eat people over there too.
Nice job. The whole "...it's a MOVIE" bit had me rolling.
