Lethal Weapon - 20th Anniversary Edition

1987 - 2007. Where the hell is it, Warner Bros?

Come on. Who wouldn't love to hear Mad Mel and Madder Gary yakking it out alongside Donner? Or Glover reflecting on his Joel Silver-fueled quasi-superstardom which almost quite peaked with Predator 2? Shane Black: what about a commentary of him and, say, Edgar Wright, a true fan of the genre just like they did on that (was it?) RS interview? Hell, with a 2-disc SE we could finally get back the real cut and Donner's useless DC separately or at least treat the originally deleted scenes as they should have stayed. And featurettes? We're gonna get a Commando SE with 4 different docus and you tell me it's hard to put together material for one of the undisputable action classics of the 80s? Shit, I mean, how awesome would it be seeing Ed O'Ross flubbing his reaction shots in the "your lighter!" scene thanks to the magic of the Blooper Reel?

Really. There are only 5 more months until this or my also dreamed of Conspiracy Theory 10th Anniversary Edition become wasted opportunities. Think about it, WB: this Christmas -and I repeat: this Christmas- you could counterprogram Live Free or Die Rothman (unrated edition?) DVD release with such a kickass thing. John McClane Vs. Martin Riggs - who kills Al Leong better and who's really too old for this shit? The world still needs to see it, goddammit.

Please, Warner Bros. Please...

McClane is more casually offhand about it, sort of "Outta my way, chump" only with bullets.

Riggs has the better, more hands-on and passionate kill. No metal jacket required.

Advantage: Riggs.

And 9 since LW4. Maybe they should pull a Rocky Bal...

Nah, forget about it.
