Holy shit, is that what your tv news is like, or is it just Fox News? It's like some E! Entertainment show, but supposedly about a real subject. I've seen short clips of your tv news shows in The Daily Show, but that really didn't prepare me for the real deal.

This is what the news in the U.S. is like, yeah. Just about all of it. Hyperbole, baseless claims, twisted facts, fearmongering, turning insignifigant occurances into "proof" of something huge is going on (i.e. if someone somewhere takes a shit on someone's lawn, your local news will report it as a lawn shitting epidemic)...the occasional outright lie just to keep things spicy.

It's slightly worse since it's local news (and yes, local news is shitty everywhere, even L.A. To date, New York has the only highly professional local newscasts I've ever seen) Watching local news in America is like having AIDS beamed directly into your brain stem.

The local news here in Boston has always been pretty good, but I've always heard this area is one of the rare exceptions. Well, at least Channel 4 and 5. Fox still sucks here, though that's pretty much a given.

Hey, that opening anchor guy is the one they would use on Arrested Development all the time.

On topic: it's just embarrassing to watch that. Embarrassing with moments of hilarity. Thanks for sparing us that Harry Potter spoilerage, Fox 11. You are truly better than these anonymous bastards.
