So where is the American flag made?

I got bored today at work, we sell a few American flags, so just for the hell of it I checked the back to see where they were made..and the answer...
KOREA! Talk about a kick in the nuts, I'm sure this is not new to some people on here, but it took me as a bit of a surprise. talk about your out sourcing!

Well, we've had a huge garrison there for decades. It's almost a 51st state, right? Unless you meant North Korea.

It's unfortunate that most of the people who display American flags on their homes are incapable of appreciating irony.

I believe the majority of American flags are still made in the U.S., but after the patriotic insanity of post-9/11 a lot of foreign manufacturers stepped in to meet the demands for flag shit.

Most foreign-made U.S. flags come from China, though Korea and Taiwan make lots as well.

I agree, I did a quick google search and found out that after 9/11 they had to out source, I do find the irony and enjoy it.

The very least they could do is attract foreign workers with the promise that they're going to bring the workers here to work in American factories, then fly them to sweatshops in US territories where they're forced to make American flags as indentured servants and sex slaves. Or something similar.

The flag I received after earning Eagle Scout was made in China. Keep in mind that these flags are supposedly flown for a day over Capitol Hill.

Yeah, that thing is sitting in a box...somewhere.

It's against the law for the government to purchase foreign manufactured American flags, but that's just the government. The goose and the gander do not share similar needs apparently.
