Are them Butcher Brothers the same guys who produced "Saturation" for Urge Overkill?

I was a minor fan of the original, but am pretty ambivalent towards a remake. It's got a nifty hook, and as it's unlikely that anyone but a horror fan would seek out the original, it's probably one of the better calls on getting a remake.

Reminds me that I miss Deborah Foreman. Between this and getting Sado-Masochistic in "Waxworks", she was one of my favorite good girls gone bad.

Funny, I thought the same thing! Nope, not the same duo. These aren't even brothers. I guess they like butchering people, though.

(edit: directed towards Kent)

I'd rather see a Groundhog Day (movie within Monster Squad) or Roth's Thanksgiving if I had a choice of holiday-themed slasher flicks.

I hated the original. What fun is a slasher movie where nobody dies? It's like porn without any money shots!

Spoilers, dude! Although I guess the statue of limitations ran out on that long ago.

Return to Horror High did the same thing trick also, if anyone remembers that flick... Fun to see a young George Clooney get murdered within the first few minutes.

The original was fun, although I was severely disappointed by the ending. But it seems to me that between Terror Train and April Fool's Day, they've started running out of big stuff to remake. Hollywood would be better off giving it another twenty years, so they can come back and remake Texas Chainsaw Massacre a third time.

They're remaking this piece of shit? Christ, time makes ANYTHING a "cult classic".

*Spoilers* (even though the cat's out o' the proverbial bag already)

C'mon Bob. You didn't think the ending of this was at least a little bit entertaining? Sitting through 82 minutes of a generic slasher, only to be blindsided at the end? Sure it was cheap and pretty unrealistic, but I would have hated the film without it. Plus, between the hot chick who said "...and I fuck on the first date" and Biff Tannen with the Collar Up/Collar Down modes, it was a film containing a lot of the people I hung out with in college.

That ending was like a slap in the face.
Fuck this movie. Low rent american giallo bullshit.

I once ordered what I thought was a Slaughter High DVD off a seller on Amazon.com. Turns out, since both films are similarly themed and factoring in that I rather stupidly assumed it was a bootleg (since Slaughter High has not seen an official DVD release), they ended up sending me goddamn April Fool's Day in place of a film they, nor anyone, ever even had in stock.

Now, it's not so bad that they didn't have it that pissed me off, it's that they sent me April Fool's Day, a film that I cannot fucking stand, that felt like the biggest "hey, fuck you!" that they could deliver.
