Someone give this girl an oscar.

The basic message is 'Make love not war or I will box the fucking shit out of you'

"There are so many emo kids out there....how are you gonna kill 'em all?"

Sounds less like a question, more like a threat.

Anyway, take off, nuke site from orbit, etc, etc.

...That was like the half-heard whine of a mosquito at 3 in the morning, coupled with the 'bastard-behind-the-eyes' moment of an impending migraine; with the added knowledge you need to wake-up an hour early to meet some 'life-changing' dead-line.

THAT's what that was.

Gotta love YouTube...

"If I could knock a fucking hole into everyones head who's ever hated an Emo kid or said something because of what they looked like, I swear to God I think I'd cause a lot of concusions out there... Stop hating, It's time to start loving."

That's some real John Lennon type shit there.

I just like how she rails against the stereotype then proceeds to reinforce it.

"Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!" We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Emo Day"!

So, I started it up and watched the first 20 seconds, then realized it was 9 minutes long and decided there was no way in hell I'd be watching the whole thing, but I skipped ahead just to see if she mixes it up at all, moves the daisy to the other side of her head or anything, and she's crying. She actually made herself cry?!

God damn it, now I have to watch the whole fucking thing. Fucking emo kids.

"SING IT LONG!!
SCREAM IT LOUD!!!
WE ARE EMO!!!!
AND WE ARE...
the same as the whiners from previous generations."
If you'll permit me to shill for a moment...

I made a movie for a 48hrs competition called the Lumberjack Goth. and because of time constraints we had to cut The character of Lumberjacks sidekick "The Emo Kid", and along with that one of my favourite exchanges, where The Emo Kid tried to hit on the scientist.

Lumberjack Goth thread

EMO
(as though this is his best pick up line.)
You know, I got beaten up by hippies today.

B.J ASTRONAUT
God, you really are pathetic.

EMO
I'm what society made me.

B.J ASTRONAUT
No Emo, Don't you see? You have the power within you to not suck.

Ok, not exactly Shakespear, but I couldn't help but be reminded of what could have been. (And The actors probably had the best deliveries in that bit too)

Or wait for a nice sunny morning, with clear blue skies, birds singing, the occasional squirrel running by, grab an emo kid and throw him/her the fuck outside. I read somewhere sunlight causes 'em to explode or something.

Yeah, but hippies weren't such downers, man. Peace, free love, and some groovin' tunes? Sherman, set the wayback machine to 1967!

Not quite,
They're a cross between Hippies, Goths and Punks...and as such have NO idea what they're ranting against...just that their emo get's more EMO...

(I just realised what an old-fart I sound...'the circle is complete...')

They did smell though, I mean we've got to acknowledge that one.

At the risk of sounding uninformed, can anyone tell me what 'scene kids' are?

You sure it's not 'seen kids'?
...and I have NO idea.

Just the people who hop onto each and every new fad as quickly as possible.
Basically, bandwagon jumpers, who'll wear the clothes and listen to the music but only because it's cool, not because they've identified with any of the overblown turmoil. Which, effectively, makes them kinda worse than emo kids.

Not...

Personally I kind of feel sorry for her - the naivety she's displaying is astounding. Even 15-year-olds don't have the right to be that dumb.

We don't need to kill them. She said herself, three of her friends have commited suicide already. We just have to wait them out.

No-one said being a spokesperson for a movement was going to be easy.

I like to imagine her parents out in the hallway, listening to her rant, then blaming each other for how fucked up their kid turned out.

Pretty much, yeah. The second you self-identify as emo/scene/goth/punk/whatever, you've gone from "legitimate member of a subculture" to "stereotyped poser deserving all the derisive laughter you get". She just doesn't get that people make fun of these groups for being SO FUCKING CONFORMIST. You're not hated for your special and unique pain, Emo Chin, you're hated because you're a dumb-assed fashion victim.

At least she still has a few years to figure this out, unless she dies in a cutting accident.

Go to hell Brendan. I clicked on the link and saw it was over 9 minutes. There was no way I was gonna watch a 9 minute emo rant. And then you promised me titties. So I thought, well, at least I'll have something to do while I listen. Guess what? No titties! I hate you. I hate you like you'all hate emo.

And scene kids are the worst.

Sorry Alexor. I was going by this picture:

Aaron Eckhart has never looked so inticing.
Holy crap. That nearly made my head explode. My first reaction was "She's not really emo because she's doesn't have that lame facade of apathy." Then she went on that rant about "kill me, punch me, blah blah blah, let me bleed black." Then I thought "wait, she's definitely emo." Then the next moment comes her "I'm not really emo" part. I think she's just mad about being a total moron.

But then again, she must be a genius on some level since she invented the word labelism.

And then there are these girls, who have become my new heroes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqwSWFklyfU

Got me there. A hackey sack and bootleg of a 35 minute performance of "Dark Star" to you, mon ami.

Followed the link from Crow - damn. Some of those quotes of hers - wow.

"Y'all are just getting all mad because we are starting to be something that you can never be. And that is a giant movement." Bowel would be my guess.

"The only reason why you hate us is because you're afraid and you can't raise your voice up to what we have done." Yes, girl, you and your movement have raised moping to an art form, and have turned Hot Topic into the powerhouse it is today. Bless you, my tiny dancer, bless you.

"A kid is emotionally hardcore because things have happened in their life-- all that fucking shit happened in my life. I've had three of my frickin friends pass away on me-- committing suicide." Best be working on your people skills then, hon.
For awhile I was seriously beginning to think that there were no more emo kids anymore, that it had just become this mythical group that everyone made fun of and no one would that was actually accused of being in this scene would admit to it.

I am, coincidently, sadly mistaken. They're out there. And they are all weeping in unison.
What the fuck is EMO?
It's what lies beyond the rock you've been under.
Just watched her last video on the link provided. Wow. Remember when you did something stupid and a select group of friends laughed at you for a month? I don't think the things she described are on par with what she did, but maybe this is just what she needs to become a person with some substance.
