Exactly. It's all transfer. I'd double-dip into HD for some of my favorite films because of that, and there are older DVDs (ROAD WARRIOR is a great example) that are screaming for a decent transfer, and I'd snap those up.

It's funny because I used to get really excited for all those extras. Once you've gotten to peek behind the curtain a couple hundred times, the interest fades.

I just don't have time for them. I can spend six or eight hours on one movie I kinda liked, or see that one and three others. Easy choice.

Obviously, for something like BLADE RUNNER, a Lynch or Cronenberg film, exceptions will be made. But those are increasingly rare.

Same here. If they put out the SE the same day as the single disc, like Batman Begins, 300, I'll always pick up the better version, but once I have a disc though, I'm done. Unless it's an out of nowhere "director's cut", then I might pick it up.

One thing to watch for though, some of these "extended cuts" are done with out the director's consent. The studio hires someone to add footage for a double dip. It's not a true "director's cut".
