I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
When I had to have an MRI, I brought Pretty Hate Machine for no reason other than I couldn't decide on something and it was already lying out on my desk. Not that it mattered because I could barely hear it. Not only did the loud jackhammer sounds drown it out, but from what I can figure you can''t actually use headphones in an MRI machine because they've got magnets in them and that'd screw up the images. I think what they do is have some tiny speakers somewhere outside the machine and literally pipe it in to you through plastic tubes. It basically reduced it to a rhythmic ventilation noise.
I'd bring 'The Earth is Not a Cold, Dead Place' by Explosions in the Sky. That's not saying much, as the thing is on damn near constant repeat whenever I travel.
OK Computer, by Radiohead (but only if you have never wanted to listen to it before).
It's one of those "essential" records that often gets rammed down peoples throats, so this way, you can listen to it, but not actually have to listen to it.
