I havn't painted anything in a while with my movie sapping all my creative energy for the past few years, but this is some stuff I did just after highschool . It's not great but it's alls I gots.

Old lady (this is better if you picture her saying "Get out of it, ya buggers")

Rob Zombie. From my angstier days.

Sad Demon.

Sort of the first draft of the one above.

My friend done DBZ style. He was a Dragon Ball Z fan and always angry about something.

Malcolm McDowell. Shameful geekery on display in this one.

Concept sketch. thing I guess

Production company logo.

Thanks, as soon as I posted this thread and saw the title I wondered why I called it that. I think it's a case of the paintings carrying the adolescent baggage of when they were made with them. it's actually kind of weird.

I think the title was a pre-emptive strike for whatever snarkery may lay ahead. I like them.

The Malcolm McDowell one is fucking great man, and I hate portraits.
Kudos.

McDowell and 'Flaccid Meat' are my favourites...with grandma running a close third, (I can actually imagine her saying, "...or I'll ram my cane up yer arsehole...and not the straight-end, either!!..")... Good work!

Those are great! Lump me in with the Malcom and Meat (romcom!) crew. Don't know if it's the photographs or not, but the one thing that stuck out for me was the lack of depth due to minimal color contrast. I still have this problem unless I actively think about it, but it might help make any future paintings pop a little more. You're definitely on the right track with Malcom, though!

I certainly have to give you props for being able to paint skin tones. I failed horribly a handful of times to the point where I only paint lizards, dung beetles and pretty much any other non-human subject I can think of.

I love them. I wish I could paint using my hands and not my mouse :-/
