hey i just found out that Collective Soul has a new album being released August 28th called "Afterwords." i've been really into their music lately, i'm so excited to get this new album.. i saw on their myspace page that its gonna be sold at target and itunes, but at least you can buy their song "hollywood" on itunes now. i've been to a few of their concerts and their really good live, they've been around since like 1994 so their music has really progressed. i listen to their music at my work at umg and i love it. actually the collective soul myspace page is lookin pretty good lately if you want to check it out.

I clicked on this thread thinking: "My god, you're not serious." Apparently he is. Fuck Collective Soul. And Fuck shills selling their wares around here.

I googled 'umg', and he either works at the Universal Music Group, or at the Ukrainian Marketing Group. I went with the first one, but Collective Soul is not signed with them.

So the new Collective Soul will be available at Target and iTunes. Will it also be available at 1994?

This board should have word filters so that words like "myspace" (or other blatant shill-memes) in a first post get the poster banned. And electrocuted, if it's feasible.

Collective Soul is from Georgia, and for that I apologize.

We did produce REM as well though, that counts for something. And thanks for the McBeef reference, I've been trying out Virginia Tech humor all week (the latest being a hammer-wielding Myspace picture) and no one thinks its funny.

I don't want to hate them. I don't sit up at night and hope for the fortitude to someday be able to hate them. I actively, purposely, and currently hate them. Why? Because they're a really, really terrible band.

I saw Collective Soul at a free outdoor concert at a racetrack in 1995. I was in high school, there were naked girls around, free beer, and the whole thing STILL sucked.

And if they were playing for free at a racetrack then, where are they playing for free now? Darfur?
