Yeah, best poster I've seen in a long time. Looking forward to this one.

From the looks of that poster, it seems that the set designs from Edward Scissorhands still exist. Patch the hole in the roof, add some furniture, good to go.

Yeah, it's very...Burton. But in a good way. Is this going to be R, then? Because I do so enjoy Burton's rare forays into R-rated movies. Plus, this is sort of a gruesome story to begin with.

I stopped giving a shit about Burton after Planet of the Apes, but this is a really really good poster. Agreed about the Edward Scissorhands vibe, but as the article said, even without credits you could have guessed who's behind this one at first glance.
Now I'm curious.

If it ain't R, it ain't good. That's not an issue of blood so much as it of tone. The Sondheim version, which has almost no non-musical dialogue, by the way, is bleak, dark, and gruesome, and aside from a couple gallows humor songs and the small role Borat is playing, pretty much comedy-free. This thing should be all about venegance and damnation, and has the potential to be the darkest thing Burton's ever done. Honestly, this is one of the biggest posibilities of the holidays for me.

I know very little about the source material for this. Since I have no idea what to expect, I fear finding too much out will give me an impression that will end up not matching what he does.

For example, I used to think this was a total comedy that happened to revolve around murder. Not necessarily it seems...

That's certainly a good start.

Agreed, it needs to be R.
