I laughed so hard when I saw that in the theater I shit your pants.
Saw this flick in the theater with my then girlfriend. Even then I couldn't believe how that scene stood out like the proverbial thumb in terms of tone. Even regular folks in the audience were laughing.

God, I remember that clip popping up every other file back in the day when I was searching for porn on Kazza.
So you've seen that clip about a billion times. You know who didn't?

Brad Pitt. NEVA. SAW IT. COMIN.
OK, so one car: not enough? It was like watching a road runner cartoon!

It was the most amazing thing. I saw that film in theaters for the Phantom Menace trailer. The entire Star Wars Saga isn't as good as that two seconds.

And it only works because he bounces offscreen.

That was the only reason my friends and I were in the theater for this. When Brad got Pitted, one of my friends yelled out "That RULED!!!"

I saw this in about several dozen emails a few years ago, I used to feel a little bad because I thought it was fuckin' real...

I never knew where it was from till now. I feel slightly more whole.
It's funny because this is on AMC right now and I stopped and watched it until that scene ended.
Nick, are you making drunk posts again?
That clip rules.
Between this and Bride of Chucky, I think we can crown 1998 the best year ever for hilarious auto-fatalities in film.
I too saw that movie solely for the Phantom Menace trailer.

Gawd, what a slow movie. It's like a quick slap in the face, followed by a nice massage to the temple.

SMACK! Go to sleep.
Ahh shit, thanks for that Nick! I could watch that a million and a half times and it will never get old. MJB was on TV recently, and they faded to, ahem, black, when Mr. Pitt got pummeled. I was extremely disappointed because that was the only reason I was watching. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
Absolutly loved those two seconds! However, I must know if im the only one who gets a pinball "tilt" like sound inside the head each time Pitt's body is hit by one of the cars.
Please tell me Im not alone here.

Needs to be in the next Oscar montage, regardless of theme.
And the rest of the movie is pretty great. Perhaps my favorite romantic movie ever.
To get the full effect, you really need that pensive, distracted, romantic walk away right before he suddenly gets creamed.

I wasn't gonna say it, but since you said it first, well then, yeah, I love the movie and think it's great to get in a romantic mood.

*caresses right hand*

It takes three hours to get in a romantic mood?
Between this and Nick's Natalie Merchant rant from a couple weeks ago, I'm starting to think he's been kidnapped to the late '90s and these are the subtle hints he's trying to drop us so we'll save him. Don't worry Nick, I'm prepping the Delorean now.

Anyway, the clip IS greatness.
Never gets old!!

"Whammy?"

Such a great clip.

I bought a ticket for Meet Joe Black, watched the Phantom Menace trailer, and then left to take in another showing of John Carpenter's Vampires, so I didn't see this moment of brilliance until a few years later.

I was going to say romantic comedy but then again, there wasn't really any comedy in it. How 'bout I change it to my favorite faggy movie, then?
I saw Meet Joe Black in the theatre.

I was in the bathroom for this scene.

I get back, ask my mom if anything happeneed while I was gone, and she says "Oh you missed it, he got hit by a car."
Upon further inspection, the reaction of the guy to the right of the woman behind the Pittjectile is absolutely fantastic.
Beautiful.

Nah, the mood arrives way before the three-hour mark.

I'm a romantic guy; I think it's a romantic movie. What can I say?
