This is hillarious to me.

'but sheep? come on.'

Guess they never saw Godmonster of Indian Flats (1973).

Wish I never had.

Maybe it's not to late to change it to GOATS and make it Chupa Cabra related (oh wait, I'm getting my Spanish speaking cultures all mixed up). And there's a ton of those already.

I know (definitely Spanish)...

FERDINAND: A Tale of Revenge.... No Bullshit.

Isn't there also a movie about genetically altered killer cows on the horizon? One that's not a black comedy, but is played completely straight? I seem to remember something about that.

Ewe should be ashamed of yourself. The shear awfulness of those jokes cannot be overstated.

so glad i didn't make a shear pun in that. i came so fucking close but deleted for fear of it being misunderstood for its brilliance. i've said too much.

As somebody who has seen Black Sheep, I really find it hard to believe that the New Zealanders behind the film straight up plagiarized Toba's script. The impression I got from the film is that sheep are embedded in the culture of the farming community in New Zealand. The idea that there is some unnatural modification of sheep genetics going on in Middle Earth doesn't seem that crazy to me,
This is pretty true, go into any tourist shop here, and you will pretty much find two things; Maori art, and Sheep stuff. Sheep are pretty much an ingrained running joke. Also, if you knew how the local movie industry operated, you'd know that the setting was a stroke of genius in terms of working the system to get funding for a horror movie.

I am ashamed. Now I'll have go on the lamb to escape persecution.

Also true, but I prefer the soft gentle curves of a fat sheep over a jacked up muscle bound one.

I think they prefer the term "volupt-EWE-ous".

You're just gonna keep ramming thses jokes home 'till you get the chop huh. I feel like I've been fleeced.
What can I say? I'm a mutton* for punishment. I've been known to beat a dead sheep.

EDIT: *Now that was baaad.

Alright, so what's the tally? I tried to count the sheep jokes, but kept falling asleep.

I liked Black Sheep. It was like a Sam RAMi movie.
And not at all like a Ewe Boll movie.

...Adventures in Babysitting stars Elizabeth Shewe.

I'm more of a fan of Action Jackson starring Carl Wethers.

(I admit, it's a bit obscure, but look it up)

Presenting this topic to the MB's was like leading a lamb to slaughter, but I can't compete with the wit in this thread. It's clear that I'm going to have to make like a shepherd and get the FLOCK outta here.

but to get back on track, i think it is interesting to have somebody from new zealand in on this topic as I was interested to learn that my assumptions about sheep and their relation to new zealand was accurate. and its not like killer sheep is all that original since they're running out of animals to use in films. i mean, sci fi channel has pretty much used every animal i can think of. they even had that pterydactly movie with coolio that looked like it was shot in the same place where they shot that shitty lake placid scifi channel sequel.
