The trailer is pretty sweet, but I'm still not sold on the movie.

some of those kills look pretty sweet. its the whole 'in space no one can hear you scream...on earth, IT DOESNT MATTER" shit that just bugs me. what does that mean, it doesn't matter? who wins? in doesnt matter! WE LOSE! give me a break.
If they cut this to PG-13, at least we know there'll be a legitimate Director's Cut DVD.
Between 1:39 and 1:45, you can see some shots of the Predator/Alien hybrid I suppose. Look for the very large Xenomorph with the mouth mandibles.
Probably will end up being a solid two-star movie, as there's nothing that indicates I will give a shit about any of the people in this movie. However, on trailer action alone it's topped Alien vs. Predator in the...well...Aliens fighting Predators department.
This shit was embarassing to watch. A bunch of Z-list actors getting killed by guys in suits? Please. How is this different from any low-budget DTV horror shitstorm? Because it's got the monsters from other, far superior movies in it? Is that supposed to make it good?

Dear AVP2, please go fuck yourself. Signed, me.

I love how the web site is "www.AVP-R.com" they are really pushing the hole R rating.
Jesus fucking christ! I'm sure it'll be stupid, and I didn't even make it through the first one, but the kills in this one look amazing.

I just like that they finally brought the Aliens to earth...bout fucking time.

Garrity from Rescue Me fighting Aliens and Predators, my interest is piqued some what.
What this really needs to be is Alien versus Predator versus John McClane. If they insist on generic leads, might as well get another franchise lead.

Wasn't that already done in the first Alien vs. Predator movie?
Definitely has the potential to be a solid B-movie.

It all lies to the directors' ability to create tension and atmosphere, since the trailer pretty much reveals most of the kills.
Looks like the trailer creation conversation went something like this:

Editor: "What do we do for a trailer?"

Producer: "I don't know, just edit every kill in the movie together and see what happens."

Editor: "No problem, but isn't that like a 2 minute version of the movie?"

Producer: "Yeah, so what? Just fucking do it before I fire your ass and send you back to editing aerobics videos!"

Antartica... it might as well have been in another fucking planet.
And I didn't even finish watching that piece of shit, so I didn't even remember it was on Earth.

But I meant that it's cool to see the Aliens in office buildings and on the street and what not.

Was that him yelling "Fuck You!" at the end there? Wish he'd find the stones to say that to Tatum O'Neal.

I'll wait for rental. More gore is nice but until these movies figure out that you need strong human characters that you want to see live then they'll never succeed.

Aliens vs. Predator: requiem [for two dying franchises]. Hey, truth in marketing!

It's good to know that they've abandoned all horror elements and gone with making this a 90 minute rubberfight. This might be hilarious. By the end of the film, I hope that everyone communicates in elephant noises.
Looks aiiight.
How are all these "Average Joes" worthy trophies for the Predator? Why is he bothering with all of them?
I'll wait for DVD. My interest level was at zero to begin with and I'm confident every half-way decent scene in the film was shown in this trailer.
Well I don't know. It look's so so. Some of the action bits look good but then those guys actually are fx designers so it's no wonder. I'll set my expectations as low as possible.
This movie is Shane Salerno's revenge.... ON EVERYONE.
You know...i'm not expecting much at all. The biggest problem with the AVP was that it wasn't great or horrible, just completely forgettable. This looks like it could be a good, mindless fun time at the movies watching aliens and people explode. We know it won't be a good movie, i just hope it's fun.

He already hit us with an all out assault years ago.
It was called UC: Undercover.

I had to sit through a 30 second ad for drunk driving in order to watch this trailer. I like how they're wisely marketing this thing toward drunks.
I watch most my movies drunk anyhow.
So I guess Fox is now married to the idea of marching both of these franchises straight into irrelevance. This is pretty much what Universal did to Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman. All that has to happen now is to find the modern equivalent of Abbott and Costello, and it will be all over.

Stiller & Wilson Meet Alien & Predator. Practically writes itself.
Then, thirty years later, a small British studio will remake the original films but awesomer.

i didnt think of it like that but you're right, the trailer is better than the first avp movie. but i guess that doesnt say much.

I imagine the crashing Predator ship is the one from the end of AVP 1 (due to the Alien/Predator xenomorph).
I don't really care about the humans, because I want to see the Aliens fighting the predators!!1!1.
seriously though.
That trailer was hysterical. I'm kinda happy that the whole dual franchise is being straight forward in their transitioning these films into "sci-fi" Freddy and Jason movies.

Hope = Not needed
I shoulda put a sarcasm tag on that.
Better than I expected. *Waits for flying objects. Actually, Abbott and Costello Meets Frankenstien is a good flick and very funny.

I have no expectations for this. Reasonable monster porn is all I ask. Although they are doing this franchise a great disservice by not taking it to outer space. Each flick should be on a different planet, not on a different continent.
What are the odds that a Bigfoot ( or a pack of them-Bigfoots?) will show up and help fight these aliens...I'd bet those Predators would love to get some of them as trophies..

Aliens Vs Predators Vs Sasquaches....
I always thought that the Predator had a "killing code" he lived by, so why is he killing unarmed woman? just curious

I think everything worth seeing was in that trailer. Curiosity sated. Time saved. Thanks, Redband!

Oh, I don't disagree. I grew up watching that film. As Abbott & Costello go, it's great. But it hardly represents a high point for the Universal monsters. They were basically done, and were being whored out in whatever way would make money. Sounds familiar, don't it?

I would not have sex with a Predator OR an Alien!

President Camacho is a fuckin baller.
Seemed like there were a lot of shots of the Predators and Aliens simply standing in place, trading blows. Which, admittedly, is hilarious.

those shots of the alien in the middle of the street look so awful.
