Fuck me, I really tried to be funny with that first post and to see if anyone would fall for it. Not untill now do I realize that I used the wrong title (Manhunter)!

And to think I actually sat there and laughed a little at my own cleverness and smug humor after I posted...

Max Magician and the Legend of the Rings
"A fantasy epic in the tradition of Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings."

The DVD cover even lets the sucker renting/purchasing it that it's a double-team of cash-ins.

Man, these ripoff titles are bad, they're not even porno movie caliber.

And how are they movin too fast if they're "Out of gas?" Does the tow-truck have nitro in the tank?
I much prefer the "Out of Food". Maybe it's some sort of autobiopic for the filmmakers or some Living in Oblivion shit.

Wouldn't they just call that "Velocity" and speaking of which. Where the hell is the film adaptation of "Billy and the Cloneasaurus"?

Really interesting article about Asylum Films, the company that produces a lot of these ripoff films.
That really was an interesting piece there.

Transmorphers had a subplot involving lesbians...nothing better then lesbians and giant robots

Fear dot Com was a blatant rip-off of The Ring only with a website standing in for the tape. God, the sad part is my brother has it on DVD. I can't even bring myself to watch that after seeing it in the theater. The only good part of watching Jeffrey Combs soil his career with this flick were the retards sitting behind me crying and fighting. I mean actual retards! There was so much funny stuff happening behind me I think my eyes were on them for the last half of the flick.

The stunning part: it hit theaters BEFORE the Ring. I know, The Ring was a remake, but if you're cashing in on a film--and I genuinely think they were as even the title fonts are similar--best to wait until after it's hit theaters.

You think the title's bad, check out the trailer.

The best thing about Feardotcom is that the website in the film was feardotcom.com

The animation looks like it's made with MS Paint and the dialogue sounds like it's recorded in someone's bathroom.

The italian Black Emanuelle films are pretty damn cool. A rare example of a rip off being much better than the original.
Sylvia Kristel hasnt got a chance against Laura Gemser.

From your friends at Asylum.

Not the first time Quartermain hasa been the subject of an Indiana Jones ripoff. In the 80's, Canon Pictures made a pair of Quartermain movies starring Richard Chamberlin in the form of "King Solomon's Mines" and "Allan Quartermain and the Lost City of Gold".
I've seen these before, don't remember where though, maybe Walmart?

Hey, that's Greg Evigan. His testicles co-produced Briana Evigan.
wow...at least the people know they are making rip-offs...so how do these films make a profit? HOW?!

So a ripoff of A Sound of Thunder by way of 10,000 BC. And why oh why can't elite military teams ever do things right.

The cool thing about their site is they let people post negative comments, like this one:

i just discovered your company. so are you guys like a porn production company…without the porn? and does your company really make a profit on the straight to video market, without having big boobed chicks taking off their shirts every 5 minutes…and boy do i feel sorry for c thomas howell and william katt

My Netflix queue is running out of space. I have to see these just to see what kind of cheap assed shit they pull. The giant T-Rex has me sold.

I've seen him hanging down at the unemployment office with Mac (& Me) and Trumpy all the time.

The movie will probably be just a generic disaster movie, but the poster sure looks familiar.
I always love reading the back of these DVDs for a chuckle at video stores.

The one's that make me pretty angry are the imports that are "polished" up to appeal to idiots. I bought the Election 2 DVD import about a year ago and loved the subtle cover art it had.

I noticed it had finally hit the US a few months back and the clever folk of whoever the fuck is the distro. here photoshopped a tiny gun into one of the characters hands.

I guess that makes me the movie more hardcore.
