I was listening to The Road Goes On Forever And The Party Never Ends by Robert Earl Keen today, and it occured to me it would make an ok movie. Anyone else heard a song that would make an interesting movie?

You mean stories told in songs that would work well as feature-length films or what songs would make good music videos?

Bat Out of Hell and Thunder Road are the first two that spring to mind.

Turning Highway Patrolman by Bruce Springsteen into The Indian Runner by Sean Penn worked out well.

Rocky Raccoon? I think a good 5 minutes can explain why her name was MaGill, she called herself Lil, but everyone knew her as Nancy.

The entirety of Born to Run would work well, told as a Robert Altmanesque collage of characters over the course of one summer night.

And while we're going with Bruce Springsteen, Lost in the Flood has about a half-dozen amazing short films within it.

Me and a Gun, in the right hands, would be one hell of a screwball comedy.

Don't forget the hotel lobby.

Who else thinks My Name is Mud by Primus would make A Devil's Rejects vibe kind of flick.

Come to think of it, most Primus songs could work that way, most of them are strange little short stories.

I'd love to do something someday with Richard Thompson's "1952 Vincent Black Lightning."

I would pay good money to see a Roland, The Headless Thompson Gunner movie.

Springsteen's The River by Michael Cimino.

Every Fall Out Boy song reeks of an 80s high school comedy movie. Even the weirdo vampire one.

-"A boy named Sue" and "(Ghost) Riders in the sky", by Johhny Cash.
-"The trooper", "Fear of the dark", "Rime of the ancient mariner", Iron maiden.
-"Neon Knights", Black Sabbath.
