It's a pain in the ass to make a demo tape, but these sources do help to understand how to make one and how to appeal to those looking at them. Main thing would be to find an impartial editor to help cut your stuff together.

And before you ask, if i could put my reel up i would (I deleted mine and gave up so I do admire those who persist).

I agree with a lot of what I found at those two links.

And yeah, it's definitely heavy on that last piece in the reel. I could stand to cut it down another minute at least out of that one. Lucky for me cinematography isn't how I make my living anymore (for the time being), so I'm not busting my balls over it.

My reel.

All digital (SD) except for one 16mm shot. Done in 2006. Needs to be updated.

Got me my job as a fulltime editor and occasional TVC director.

Just bought a Panasonic HVX a month or so ago. Havent included the footage I've shot with it. Blown away by the look of the footage so far.

Dr. U, I must say the footage on ur reel looks shit hot. Sexy even.
What hd camera's do you use?

I don't have a demo reel of my stuff, but my signature below has a link to some stuff I've put up on Youtube. I've only worked with SD video until now.

I'd appreciate some constructive criticism about anything.

Hey, thanks.

The footage is about half HDV with the JVC-HD 100 and half DVX-100A.
