I heard a report on NPR about how the guy who founded Tower Records 40 years ago just started up a new music store in your area called R5. Was wondering if you had stopped by there or not? And if so, are the prices just as outrageous as Tower's was?

I think this will prove to be less interesting than the last thread with this title.

Well I must admit, I should've been more creative with the thread title but I'm at work and my mind is on other things.

It's already less interesting because I'm responding to this one. Sorry folks!

I haven't heard of R5 but I did a quick address check and it appears to be at the same location as one of the old Towers. It's on my way home from work so maybe I'll check it out one of these days and buy the barebones BATMAN DVD for $20.

It's right next to Pancake Circus. When looking for pancakes in the greater Sacramento area give them a try. I'm pretty sure they serve waffles as well, and they're not a chain!

Okay, that's what I want to know. Thanks for the pancake suggestion but no disrespect, but unless I get elected to state office (And with those photos of me floating around, that's doubtful) it's unlikely I'll be in Sacramento any time soon.

However, you can bet I would be in Sacramento before I ever set foot near Fresno. Believe it.

Sactown is pretty cool, I spent a while there on a project once. I discovered Pancake Circus entirely too late...

You know there's a private messaging function, right?

Perhaps he didn't want this to be private. Ever think of that? I did.
