HOLY SHIT.

It'll be a 2 hour set but the tickets are ridiculously expensive, fans enter a competition to win tickets though.

There better be a DVD or Televised version of this show pronto for the 99.99999999 precent of the Zeppelin fans who aren't rich with connections.

I think you have a better chance of asphyxiating on your own vomit than not being able to see this show in one form or another.

I assume we we all have the opportunity to be underwhelmed and disappointed in our own living room within a few months time.

It's unfortunate that there really is NO WAY IN HELL that this concert can possibly live up to all of hopes and expectations that fans have built up over the years. People are forgetting the previous reunions, which were all underwhelming in their own ways.

That doesn't change the fact that I'd go and see them live if I could.

I'd rather just spend the money on a siiick stereo system and put on II and IV.

Put on Led Zeppelin IV and go to town..

I saw Page & Plant when they were here in Sydney on the Unplugged Tour in 1994 and it was one of the best nights of my life.

For sure this concert will come out on DVD and probably even in time for Xmas.

Despite the fact that these guys are now ancients, Zeppelin is still my first answer to the question "what band are you dying to see perform live before you die?". This news might not mean my chances have improved, but it's better than nothing. Here is part of an e-mail that I sent to a friend about this yesterday:

Well, hell froze over when Pink Floyd played that show, so why not Zeppelin? I hear that the Beatles have similar plans, but Paul and Ringo are still negotiating with the spirit world before the Fab Four can reunite. Anyway, read this:

Remember when Phish did a live simulcast of their last concert in theaters across the nation? If the same isn't done for this, it will be a lost opportunity for sooo many people. Come on guys - give us all a chance to see you perform what may be your last show ever (minus Bonzo, of course). At the very least, they need to capture this for a CD and a DVD. Even if they don't kick ass, I'm hoping to see how it all goes down.
